Official FOI outcome statistics

This directory collects official figures on access to information requests from national statistical releases and annual reports. Each row gives the period covered and the publication. US agencies received 1,707,197 FOIA requests in FY2025 1. UK monitored bodies received 94,526 requests in 2025 2. Australian agencies and ministers received 46,933 in 2025-26 3. Canadian institutions received 33,928 in 2024-25, excluding IRCC 4. Each figure applies only to its own period and group of bodies. US outcome shares come from the government-wide summary report 5.
